PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device detection method capable of using a shape body composed by erecting a surface and an edge on a bottom surface as input means of a touch panel.SOLUTION: An input device erecting a contact surface brought into a contact with a touch panel on a bottom surface with regularity is brought into a surface contact with the touch panel, and a contact reaction generated in the contact surface of the input device brought into a contact with the touch panel detects contact coordinates where the contact reaction does not continue and the contact coordinates where the contact reaction continues, and an aggregation range of the contact coordinates is calculated so as to specify a contact surface shape based on dispersed coordinate information of the plurality of detected contact coordinates, and the input device brought into a contact with the touch panel is specified by comparing the specified contact surface shape with the bottom surface shapes of the plurality of input devices previously stored. |
