PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an appropriate mechanism for preventing errors in application of firmware (FW) due to a service engineer during initial installation of a network apparatus is not provided conventionally.SOLUTION: When a distribution system receives a down load request related to firmware, if it is determined that an apparatus sending the request is not a network apparatus but a client terminal, the distribution system authenticates the client terminal by using authentication information included as a parameter of the request, then, identifies the firmware for the network apparatus corresponding to the network apparatus as an object of distribution of the firmware, and transmits information related to the firmware to the client terminal as a response to the down load request. |
