PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable and inexpensive mirror device that includes an "island"-shaped mirror area capable of emitting light in a continuous "sea"-shaped mirror area.SOLUTION: A mirror device spread in a planner shape comprises: a continuous "sea"-shaped mirror area on its one main surface; and a plurality of "island"-shaped mirror areas capable of emitting light in the "sea"-shaped mirror area. The one main surface is one main surface of a translucent substrate. In the "sea"-shaped mirror area, a transparent conductive film and an anode metallic layer are formed in order on the other main surface of the translucent substrate, where the anode metallic layer is a mirror surface; in the "island"-shaped mirror area, the transparent conductive film, a functional layer including a light-emitting layer, and a cathode metallic layer are formed in order on the other main surface of the translucent substrate, where the cathode metallic layer is a mirror surface. Application of voltage between the anode metallic layer and the cathode metallic layer causes light emission. |
