PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently monitor a shared device using a plurality of nodes.SOLUTION: In a computer system 100 in which a plurality of nodes each of which includes a BMC (baseboard management controller) sharing the same device 112, the BMCs are connected to each other by a transfer bus 111 for transferring information in each BMC. Each BMC includes a matrix for determining its own status based on statuses of its own and other nodes, a master BMC monitoring the shared device 112 includes a storage area 113 where log information obtained from the shared device 112 is stored, and a slave BMC not monitoring the shared device 112 includes a storage area 114 where log information on the shared device in the master BMC is read via the transfer bus 111 and stored. When a failure occurs in the master BMC, the slave BMC becomes a new master controller based on the status and the matrix. |
