PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel imaging apparatus using two wide angle lenses having whole angular field exceeding 180 degrees.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus of the invention comprises two imaging optical systems respectively formed of an image forming optical system having a whole angular field larger than 180 degrees, and a two-dimensional solid state image sensor for converting an image formed by the image forming optical system into an image signal, for imaging images in all orientations. The two imaging optical systems have a same structure, and comprise: first lens groups L1I, L2I disposed on an object side; second lens groups L1II, L2II disposed on an image side of the first lens groups; and a reflection surface member PC. The reflection surface member PC comprises: a first reflection surface RF for bending optic axes of the first lens groups to a first direction; and a second reflection surface for bending optic axes of beams reflected by the first reflection surface to a second direction which crosses a common plane including the optic axes of the first lens groups and the first direction. The two imaging optical systems are combined so that, the optic axes of the first lens groups match each other, common planes are in a same plane, and the second directions of them are at a same side of the same plane. |
