PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a far-infrared heating furnace that has a steel sheet storage area for storing a steel sheet for hot press and a heater, and can reliably open and close a shutter made of refractory with a thickness.SOLUTION: A far-infrared heating furnace is characterized as follows: a heater 14-1 is a far-infrared heater; a steel sheet storage area 13-1 forms substantially rectangular outer shape in a horizontal plane; fixed blocks 16a, 16b comprising substantially rectangular thermal insulation materials are provided in two opposite sides; and lid blocks 16c, 16d comprising the substantially rectangular thermal insulation materials are provided in two remaining opposite sides. The far-infrared heating furnace has a lid block opening and closing mechanism 20-1 linearly guiding the lid block contacted with the fixed block to the direction in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the fixed block by a predetermined distance and separating it from the fixed block and then bringing the steel sheet storage area 13-1 into communication with the outside by guiding it to the upper part or the lower part, and linearly guiding the lid block to the direction in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the fixed block by a predetermined distance after guiding the lid block to the lower part or the upper part and bringing the lid block into contact with the fixed block and cutting off the steel sheet storage area from the outside. |
