PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate valve which can suppress the deterioration of a seal member caused by a radical, and also can prevent a fall of the seal member from a dovetail groove.SOLUTION: A seal groove 10 for attaching a seal member 9 is formed of a first groove part 11 which is rectangular in a cross section, and a second groove part 12 which is opened at a bottom wall 11a of the first groove part 11, and formed into a dovetail groove shape in a cross section. The seal member is held to the second groove part in a state that a part of the seal member is protruded toward the first groove part, the seal member is entirely accommodated in the seal groove, and a valve seat 7 which is inserted into and removed from the seal groove, and contacts with and separates from the seal member is protrusively arranged at an internal face 3c of a bulkhead at which a gate opening part 2 is opened. |
