PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of approximating and separating a device for coating a lubricant to an image carrier such as a photoreceptor.SOLUTION: A lubricant coating device comprises: a lubricant coating part for contacting an image carrier and coating a lubricant to the image carrier by rotation; and a lubricant coating drive part for applying rotational force to the lubricant coating part. The lubricant coating part is installed so that, a rotation axis can be moved at least in a range receiving the rotational force, and the rotation axis is moved by stress acquired by rotational force of the lubricant coating drive part, thereby approximating movement and separation movement with the image carrier are possible. The lubricant coating part can be approximated and separated from the image carrier, not whole body of the lubricant coating device, and the movement can use the stress acquired by the rotational force of the lubricant coating drive part, and a device configuration is simplified. As the result, deterioration of a surface of the image carrier such as a photoreceptor, and deformation of the lubricant coating part can be suppressed, and occurrence of image noise can be prevented. |
