PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable appropriate lighting with strict management of lamp information of a discharge lamp to be lit.SOLUTION: A transmitter 6 is attached to a lamp feeder line 5, included in a lamp 1, in a manner to surround the lamp feeder line 5. The transmitter 6 is operated using a current flow through the lamp feeder line 5. The transmitter 6 transmits to a light source device a signal associated with information, such as a lamp model and a cumulative lighting time, by superposing with a lighting current. A light source device 7 refers to the signal to determine whether or not to continue lighting and performs lighting power adjustment of the lamp. Using the lighting current for the lamp information transmission, it is possible to securely manage the lamp information and safely light at all times. |
