PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gearwheel motor device which can properly protect a motor without attaching/detaching a gearwheel or stopping the device even when a thrust load more than a permissible value occurs, and achieve space saving.SOLUTION: A gearwheel motor device 10 comprises: an electric motor 12; a gearwheel 16 which is constructed so that a thrust load is applied to the electric motor 12 when transmitting torque; and a controller 18 which controls the electric motor 12. The controller 18 includes: a thrust load acquisition unit 20 which acquires the thrust load applied to the electric motor 12 at a prescribed timing or at a time period; a limit thrust load storage unit 22 which stores a limit thrust load of the electric motor 12; and a torque limitation unit 24 which electrically limits torque of the electric motor 12 when the trust load acquired by the thrust load acquisition unit 20 is more than the limit thrust load stored at the limit thrust load storage unit 22. |
