PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse compression radar apparatus capable of outputting a high-resolution range in pulse compression processing.SOLUTION: A pulse compression radar apparatus repeatedly transmitting and receiving a plurality of pulses converts reception signals of a temporal (range) axis acquired by transmitting and receiving the plurality of pulses into signals of a frequency axis, generates a pulse compressing reference signal and converts the pulse compressing reference signal into a signal of the frequency axis, generates reception signals obtained by multiplying reception signals of the frequency axis by the reference signal of the frequency axis and applying pulse compression thereto, generates a correlation matrix of the frequency axis by extracting signals of a plurality of points from the reception signal before the pulse compression, slides the correlation matrix by a plurality of cells, adds and averages the correlation matrix slid by an oblivious coefficient and generates an average correlation matrix, applies high-resolution processing to frequency axis signals applied with the pulse compression by using the average correlation matrix, and separates a target from the frequency axis signals applied with the high-resolution processing and detects the target on the temporal axis. |
