The present invention refers to a procedure, equipment and reagents for purifying wastewaters, based on Fenton's reaction. In the main oxidation reactor (12) the oxidation reaction of the organic material takes place with the oxygenated water in presence of metal catalysts. Fenton's reaction in the reactor occurs at an absolute pressure of between 1 kg/cm 2 and 1.5 kg/cm 2 , and at a temperature between 110°C and 120°C. The effluent once treated and cooled is conducted to zone D, to a neutralization tank (6) in which the pH increases above seven, causing the precipitation of hydroxides. Safety controls are automatically carried out.
