FIELD: metallurgy.SUBSTANCE: butt joint gap is filled with metal chemical additive. The additive contains mixture of chopped metal grits 1.0-2.0 mm, made from edges cutting of welded blanks in ratio 1:1 with its cleaning of the oxides, and connection of the negative active elements 0.5-0.8 wt % and aluminium 0.2-0.34 wt %. The gap width is set as 0.6-0.8 of thickness of welded parts. One-side or double-side welding is performed by several passes at straight polarity DC ensuring minimum mixing of the welding pool. The gap filling with grits is performed by its preliminary backfilling or feeding to the arc zone by the dosing unit.EFFECT: method reduces potential gradient across the weld and ensures increased steelwork resistance to electrochemical corrosion.3 cl, 1 dwg, 3 tbl, 1 ex |
