<p>FIELD: chemistry.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of particles with a phosphate scale inhibitor in underground work. The method of inhibiting scaling in an underground deposit includes forming scale-inhibiting particles from a mixture of flue ash and a hardening agent in a phosphonic acid medium, where the flue ash is hardened into a solid material through contact with the hardening agent in the phosphonic acid medium, while suspending solid particles in a treatment liquid and placing said particles into a portion of an underground deposit or in a desired place within said portion, wherein the solid particles release the scale inhibitor over time under the effect of aqueous liquids; the mixture contains at least one multivalent ion and said inhibiting particles are at least partially coated with a coating material.
