SEAWATER EXCHANGING CAISSON TYPE BREAKWATER

The present invention relates to a breakwater wherein a plurality of caissons is in contact with each other. Recessed parts (20) are formed on side surfaces of the caissons and an inclined wall is formed on the recessed parts (20) to form a water flow hole penetrating the breakwater on a connection part between the caissons close to each other and to make the side surfaces of the inclined walls of both caissons cross each other; thereby preventing wave propagation, but enabling the flow of seawater between the inside and outside of a harbor. The present invention enhances the water and ecological environments of the harbor without a decrease in the static temperature of the harbor and reduces construction periods and costs as the production periods and costs of the seawater-exchangeable caissons forming the breakwater are similar to the same of common caissons.
