The present invention relates to a catalyst having a magnetic property for preparing acetic acid from carbonylation of methanol and carbon monoxide, a method for manufacturing the same, and a method of use. More specifically, the present invention relates to a catalyst having a magnetic property for preparing acetic acid from carbonylation of methanol and carbon monoxide, which is capable of inhibiting a loss of rhodium after being used for the carbonylation while reducing the level of a pricey jewelry rhodium used as a catalyst activator and giving recoverability of the catalyst at the same time by using a magnetite (Fe_3O_4) support as a support and letting a rhodium compound be supported in the support, to a method for manufacturing the catalyst, and to a method of use.
