摘要 Novelty: a device meant for the measurement of the traffic density with use of piezoelectric methods is disclosed. Constitution-operational mode: the invented device is applied to one or more road lanes and composed of: one or more tubes (Σ1,Σ2,Σν) which are made of soft and flexible material (silicone) and transversally developed on the road (1) the traffic density of which is under measurement. The one extremity of these tubes is airtightly closed while the other is connected to a differential pressure sensor. According to the piezoelectric effect, the output voltage of each sensor varies in respect to the change of the differential pressure at the extremities of each sensor. An electronic board (2) is electrically connected to said sensors in order to receive the electric signals of these last. An electronic microprocessor (3) processes the incoming data, executes precise calculations and stores up the outputs on the storage means (7). The system is powered by battery (5) or by power mains via a suitable potential transformer. The user is in position to adjust the parameters of the algorithm operation with the aim to improve measurements in respect to the particularities of each measurement field, to visit the measurement field and upload the stored data to a computer which is connected to the electronic board (2) via the USB port (6), and to further monitor the data via a computer (e.g. display of the measurement data in real time, display on the computer΄s screen of the data stored on the storage means (7) and/or cleaning of all data stored thereon).
