The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for processing information of an electronic device. According to various embodiments of the present invention, the method for processing information of an electronic device includes the following steps: displaying at least part of data displayed on a screen of an external electronic device functionally connected to the electronic device through a screen of the electronic device; selecting content to be shared among the content displayed on the screen of the electronic device based on a first input for the screen of the electronic device; requesting the information related to the selected content from the external electronic device in response to a second input related to the electronic device; determining a state of the electronic device, related to the selected content, based on the information received in response to the request; and executing a function or content corresponding to the selected content based on the state of the electronic device. |
