<p>The device (10) has a drive unit (12) that is provided with a rotary drive. A vibration drive (30) is provided for driving an output shaft (14) in rotating and axially vibrating manner. An adapter unit (40) is coupled with output shaft, and provided with outer adapter (46) for connecting outer rod (62) and inner adapter (56) for connecting inner rod (64). The outer adapter is adapted to transmit rotational movement and axially vibrating movement of output shaft to outer rod. The inner adapter is supported in axially displaceable and spring-mounted manner in outer adapter. An independent claim is included for a method for operating drive device.</p> |
