The present invention relates to an appliance for displaying, manipulating and interacting with multimedia content over mobile devices, with the purpose of displaying multimedia content, preferably involving a teacher and students in a classroom. The present invention comprises a data processing system provided with an intelligent control interface that enables the teacher to interact with or manipulate multimedia content over the students' mobile devices. The data processing system is connected by flat cables to two infrared emitting and two infrared receiving bars (25) attached to the edges of the LCD panel (27). A metal frame (1) surrounds the emitting and receiving bars (25) and is attached to the front part of the LCD panel by means of attachment means known in the prior art. The metal frame has the same dimensions as the edges of the LCD panel and thus forms a single assembly therewith.
