PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately adjust beam pitch in a main-scanning direction of a plurality of light beams, even if process noise occurs after exposure.SOLUTION: Exposure timing using a plurality of light beams is adjusted, on the basis of toner concentration in boundaries 116a, 116b between a line image formed by one light beam of a pattern image 110 and line images formed by other light beams adjacent to the above one light beam, and toner concentration in other than the boundaries. The pattern image 110 is arranged so that line images extending in a main-scanning direction of a photoreceptor are periodically formed by an image forming section at a pitch in a sub-scanning direction of the photoreceptor, and the boundaries 116a, 116b are shifted from the sub-scanning direction of the photoreceptor. |
