PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that limits an output current in a feed-forward manner consistently with an environment of a fuel cell stack in low-temperature starting.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell stack; internal temperature acquisition means for obtaining an internal average temperature of the fuel cell; an impedance sensor for detecting an impedance resistance value in correlation with a moisture state of an MEA inside the stack; a current limiter for limiting an output current of the stack in a range equal to or less than a given limit current value while execution of low-temperature start is determined to be necessary; and limit current value setup means for setting the limit current value. The limit current value setup means sets, as the limit current value, the smaller of a first limit value calculated on the basis of the internal average temperature and a second limit value calculated on the basis of the impedance resistance value. |
