PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a reference signal reception method that reduces the interference between cells in and out of a CoMP set.SOLUTION: A CoMP mode setting unit 101 sets it to a hopping pattern calculator 104 whether a terminal 100 is a CoMP terminal or Non-CoMP terminal. The hopping pattern calculator 104 determines a ZC sequence number to be used at transmission timing out of all of in-system usable ZC sequence numbers notified from an in-system ZC sequence number setting unit 103 when the terminal 100 is set as a Non-CoMP terminal. When the terminal 100 is set as a CoMP terminal, the hopping pattern calculator 104 hops a ZC sequence number used in a CoMP set notified from the ZC sequence number setting unit 102 in the CoMP set, and determines a ZC sequence number to be used at a transmission timing. The ZC sequence generator 105 generates a ZC sequence used as SRS by using the determined ZC sequence number.
