PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endless carrying device such as an escalator and the like which prevents an object from being caught in a gap between a step and a skirt guard, and in which, even if an object is caught, it can be easily pulled out upward.SOLUTION: An escalator 10 includes: a step 16 connected in an endless manner and for circulating and moving between an entrance 12 of an upper floor and an entrance 14 of a lower floor; a skirt guard 30 extended along a movement direction of the step 16 by keeping a predetermined gap with the step 16; and a safety device 40 provided inside the skirt guard 30 and including a protective material which can move only in one direction heading toward an upper side from a lower side with respect to an upper surface of the step 16. The safety device 40 is arranged on the front side of the entrances 12, 14. |
