PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a felt for papermaking which is capable of suppressing a phenomenon in which an edge part of wet web is detached from the felt or a phenomenon "trim pick" in which an edge part to be discarded is handed over to the felt without generating a mark on wet web and by a simple method.SOLUTION: The felt for papermaking comprises: a reinforcement fiber base material; and a batt fiber layer on a wet web surface side which is entangled and integrated with at least the wet web surface side of the reinforcement fiber base material by needling. The felt for papermaking has wet web end part contact regions which an end part of wet web contacts, and a central region which is sandwiched by the wet web end part contact regions. The wet web end part contact regions have a thickness that is different from a thickness of the central region. |
