PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that suppresses a decrease in ink droplet arrival accuracy while suppressing non-discharge of ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet device 100 includes: an ink jet head 105; an ink supply system 106; an ink discharge system 107; and a control part 108 that performs control so that ink pressure P (kPa) and an ink flow Q (ml/min) within the ink jet head can reach target values, respectively. The respective target values of the pressure P and the flow Q satisfy the following inequalities: 2.0≤Q≤6.0; Q<1.1 P+7.2; and Q<-2.7 P+6.8.
