PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excess and deficiency of a dehydrating agent by diluting muddy water with a dehydration filtrate to control the specific gravity of the muddy water and prevent problems such as viscosity increase and gelation of muddy water due to concentration of a dehydrating agent by circulation of a dehydration filtrate, and perform efficient dehydration treatment by effectively exhibiting the effects of an added dehydrating agent when dehydrating muddy water discharged during civil engineering and construction work.SOLUTION: In a muddy water treatment method, after a part of dehydration filtrate obtained by dehydration treatment of muddy water is added to the muddy water to dilute it so that the specific gravity of the muddy water before addition of a dehydrating agent is within a predetermined range, a cationic polymer flocculant having an intrinsic viscosity of 3 dL/g or less is added as a dehydrating agent. |
