A vehicular lighting device includes: a projection device that projects a visible-light image; an obstacle detection device that detects an obstacle; and a processing device. The processing device predicts a vehicle travel area after a predetermined time or a predetermined distance of travel, projects a first image by the projection device in the predicted travel area if the obstacle is not detected by the obstacle detection device in the predicted travel area, and projects a second image different from the first image in the predicted travel area by the projection device if the obstacle is detected by the obstacle detection device in the predicted travel area. |
