The present invention relates to a composition for promoting the differentiation of myoblasts, the composition containing butylpyridinium, a derivative thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating muscular weakness-related diseases; a food composition for preventing or alleviating muscular weakness-related diseases; a composition for strengthening muscular strength; and a feed or feed composition for strengthening muscular strength. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for promoting the differentiation of myoblasts using butylpyridinium, a derivative thereof, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; a method for manufacturing differentiated myoblasts; and a method for treating muscular weakness-related diseases.
