1,155,819. Mowing machine. P. J. ZWEEGERS & ZONEN LANDBOUWMACHINEFABRIEK N.V. 17 May, 1966 [17 Sept., 1965], No. 752/69. Divided out of 1,154,333. Heading A1F. A rotary-scythe mower comprising an elongated flat casing 1 housing transmission means for rotating disc cutters 123-126 is characterized in that a drum 128 whose diameter is less than that of disc 126 is secured to the latter so that it deflects mown crop clear of that part of the ground above which the drum passes in operation. Accordingly the drum is arranged to rotate anticlockwise as seen from above either by anticlockwise rotation of disc 126 or by a ground wheel provided under the drum, in which case the separate drum may partly overlap the path of the outer disc 126. A swarth plate located at the outer end of casing 1 and pivoted against spring action may cooperate with the drum 128. The support structure of the mower comprises a threearmed frame 129 which removably connects with the 3-point linkage of the tractor, and arms 131, 132, 130 and 136 such that the mower can rotate a limited amount about the axis of shaft 127 and take up a transport position on rotation about the vertical axis 140. The casing 1 is provided with slide shoes 13 and 139. |
