A modular system for mosaics has square modular elements one face having four pins located on the apices of a square, the distance between diametrally opposite pins being equivalent to the pin diameter, said diameter being equal to the modular dimension timesγ2 divided by 6, whereby the elements can be mutually connected in all positions distant along main axes of the element.
