Systems and methods for conducting online transactions based upon a scored relationship between the transacting users in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. In one embodiment, a relationship dependent transaction system includes a transaction server system including a processor and a memory, wherein the transaction server system obtains transaction request data identifying a source user and a target user, determines a transaction score based on the transaction request data for the source user and the target user by querying a reputation database, when the transaction score exceeds a threshold value, authorizes the requested transaction, and when the transaction score does not exceed the threshold value, declines the requested transaction. |
