A folding mechanism for a scooter. The folding mechanism comprises an inclined pipe (1), a front pedal end (18), a central spindle (5), a locking spanner (22), and a hinge pin (20). The inclined pipe (1) is provided with a round tail end (23). A hollow cavity (3) is formed in the round tail end (23). The folding mechanism further comprises a spanner (15), a transmission block (13), a transmission shaft (17), a first elastic device (16), a second elastic device (9), a clamping strip (12), and a locking strip (8). The front pedal end (18) is provided with slot holes (6) and limiting holes (7). The spanner (15) is disposed on one side of the front pedal end (18) by means of the transmission shaft (17). The transmission block (13) is disposed on the transmission shaft (17) and abuts against the clamping strip (12). The first elastic device (16) is disposed on the transmission shaft (17) and provides an elastic recovery force for the transmission block (13). Two ends of the locking strip (8) are located in the slot holes (6). Two ends of the clamping strip (12) are located in the limiting holes (7) and pressed into a first limiting groove (2) by the transmission block (13). One end of the hinge pin (20) is connected to the locking spanner (22), and the other end of the hinge pin (20) passes through the central spindle (5). The second elastic device (9) is disposed on the hinge pin (20) and located between the locking strip (8) and the central spindle (5). After the folding mechanism for the scooter is used for a long term, the locking strip (8) and the clamping strip (12) are closely pressed against the round tail end (23), no gap will be generated, and therefore the service life is greatly prolonged. |
