PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle transmission capable of appropriately detecting erroneous detection of a gear position by a control unit and promptly, accurately detecting a present gear position status of the transmission irrespectively of clutch engagement.SOLUTION: A present gear position is determined from a calculated gear ratio Rg that is an actual gear ratio as a ratio of the number of revolutions Nm of a main shaft to the number of revolutions Nc of a counter shaft and a gear ratio map defining a gear ratio variation allowable range for each gear position, a delay timer is started when the calculated gear ratio Rg reaches a gear ratio variation allowable range of a next gear position at a time of determining a status of the determined present gear position, the determination of the present gear position status is stopped during actuation of the delay timer, and the present gear position status is determined after passage of preset delay time Tn(n=1, 2, or the like). |
