Disclosed is a use of recombinant Ganoderma lucidum immunoregulatory protein (rLZ-8) in the preparation of a medicament for treating androgenetic alopecia. It is shown by in vivo animal model experiments that the recombinant Ganoderma lucidum immunoregulatory protein can improve hair loss in animal models with androgenetic alopecia, and can be used for preventing and treating androgenetic alopecia. The recombinant Ganoderma lucidum immunoregulatory protein of the present invention is a protein substance with a high purity prepared by a recombination technology and yeast cell eukaryotic expression system.
