Provided is a light diffusing sheet which has high light diffusivity and with which decreases in luminance in a backlight device are suppressed as much as possible and local luminance unevenness and local light leakage are reduced. This light diffusing sheet has a light diffusing layer, and the light diffusing layer includes a binder resin, light diffusing resin particles, and inorganic fine particles. The light diffusing sheet has a Y value of 0.3 to 2.1, as measured by a D65 light source transmission measuring method according to JIS Z 8722:2000. The inorganic fine particles are at least one of zirconium oxide, titanium oxide, and zinc oxide, for example, and 40 to 480 parts by weight of the inorganic fine particles are included relative to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin (solid content). |
