PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of impact position deviation of ink in a portion of an image to be printed in a pass, which is a joint with an image adjacent to the image in a sheet conveying direction.SOLUTION: A delay time in a first pass, among a plurality of passes for printing on a recording sheet P is determined by using upstream side correction information (a relationship between a position in a scanning direction and a delay time of an upstream side nozzle). A delay time in a last pass, among a plurality of the passes for printing on the recording sheet P is determined by using downstream side correction information (a relationship between a position in the scanning direction and a delay time of a downstream side nozzle). An average value of the delay time determined based on the upstream side correction information and the delay time determined based on the downstream side correction information is determined to be a delay time in a pass other than the first and second passes among a plurality of passes for printing on the recording sheet P. |
