The present invention relates to a bypass auxiliary on-load tap-changer and method thereof where a tap selector and a switcher only need to briefly withstand load current. The selector is provided with switches connected to transformer taps in one-to-one correspondence; selector output ends are divided into two groups connected to two corresponding input ends of the switcher, and the transformer taps are also divided into two groups correspondingly; the two output ends of the switcher are connected together and then serve as the output end of the bypass auxiliary on-load tap-changer, and corresponding switches are provided between input ends and the corresponding output end of the switcher; also comprised are main switches, the input end of each of the main switches being connected to the transformer taps in one-to-one correspondence, the output ends being connected together and then connected to the output end of the switcher; a control circuit controls on and off of the corresponding switches of the selector and the switcher to form a bypass coordinated with the main switches, to switch one transformer tap in one of the two groups of transformer taps to any transformer tap in the other group. |
