PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation apparatus configured to improve separation performance of a thin recording medium, while preventing and/or suppressing adverse effect on a photoreceptor or a transfer body.SOLUTION: A rotating member 101 comes into contact with a transfer member 56 which rotates in a predetermined direction and transfers an image carried on an image carrier 11 to a recording medium P, and rotates in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction in a position facing the transfer member 56, for separating the recording medium P from the transfer member 56, when the recording medium P sticks to the transfer member 56. |
