PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep sensitivity and improve focus detection accuracy in an imaging apparatus capable of performing phase difference detection on an imaging surface.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a pixel region in which a plurality of pixels including a focus detection pixel capable of performing phase difference detection are arranged in a two-dimensional shape; a micro-lens provided so as to correspond to a photoelectric conversion unit in an imaging pixel; and a micro-lens provided so as to correspond to a photoelectric conversion unit in the focus detection pixel. Orthogonal projection of the micro-lens on the photoelectric conversion unit shows deviation between its apex position and its center position.
