PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of data and performance of functions while making it possible to hold data necessary for operations of respective functions in an image formation apparatus using flash memory as a storage medium.SOLUTION: An image formation apparatus having flash memory in which whether to record data as a multiple value per single memory cell or to record data as a binary value can be changed for each region, comprises: a history information generation part which monitors the usage state of the image formation apparatus and generates use history information to store it; a determination part which refers to the use history information and specifies data with a relatively high use frequency; and a recording region change part which changes the ratio of a region recording the data as the binary value to a region recording the data as the multiple value in the recording region of the flash memory so that at least the specified data can be recorded as the binary value.
