The present invention provides a method and apparatus for processing an upstream data anomaly. The method comprises: a first time wavelength division multiplexing (TWDM) path terminal of a TWDM passive optical network (PON) detects an upstream data anomaly; and the first TWDM path terminal sends upstream data anomaly information to other TWDM path terminals in the TWDM PON, wherein the upstream data anomaly information is used by the other TWDM path terminals to detect whether upstream data sent by optical network units (ONUs) managed by the other TWDM path terminals is abnormal, and process the ONUs sending the abnormal upstream data if an anomaly is detected. The problem in the related art that an ONU sends data on a wrong upstream wavelength path so that upstream data interference is caused on the upstream wavelength path is solved, and then the effect of rapidly locating the ONU using the wrong upstream wavelength for communication, rapidly alleviating upstream path interference and improving the quality of the network service is achieved. |
