PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially advantageous method which reduces so far uncontrollable formation of solid matter stably and enables purification with high efficiency, in purifying a furfural composition.SOLUTION: A production method of furfural is based on distilling a composition containing furfural in a distillation column to obtain furfural, and the concentration of the furfural dimer in the column bottom liquid of the distillation column is 20-5,000 wt. ppm. |
