PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper currency storage cassette and a paper currency handling unit capable of reducing an operation cost while improving operational efficiency.SOLUTION: A paper currency storage cassette 2 is detachably mounted onto a paper currency handling unit 1 body. The paper currency storage cassette 2 stores data relevant to the operation thereof in a memory 263a in a state the paper currency storage cassette 2 is mounted on the paper currency handling unit 1 body. The paper currency storage cassette 2 also includes: a radio communication part 264 which is positioned within a radio communication area formed by the paper currency handling unit 1 body when the radio communication part 264 is mounted on the paper currency handling unit 1 body; and a control unit 263 that updates data on the memory 263a based on the radio communication made by the radio communication part 264 with the paper currency handling unit 1 body. |
