PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a Petri dish that makes it possible to automatically and securely cover a lid on a Petri dish body, and by which automatic packaging of a Petri dish including the Petri dish body and the lid or automatic dispensation of medium can be easily performed.SOLUTION: A Petri dish comprises locking means 4 for locking a Petri dish body 2 and a lid 3, in which the locking means 4 consists of: an engagement part 12 which is provided for one of the Petri dish body 2 and the lid 3, has an opening side of the Petri dish body 2 or the lid 3 as a tip part 10 and a rear surface of the tip part 10 as an engaging surface 11; and a protruded part 13 which is provided for the other of the Petri dish body 2 and the lid 3 and is engaged with the engaging surface 11 of the engagement part 12 so that it is capable of being engaged/disengaged, by turning the lid 3. An end surface 14 of the tip part 10 of the engagement part 12 is formed of an inclined surface 31, and an opposing surface 15 which is on an opposing side of the end surface 14 on the tip part 10 of the engagement part 12 in the protruded part 13 is formed of an inclined surface inclined in the same direction of the inclined surface on the end surface 14 of the tip part 10 of the engagement part 12. |
