PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method for a can, capable of forming a clear hollowed part even in the case of using a plurality of colors.SOLUTION: A printing method for a can for performing hollow printing so as to form a hollowed part without transferring ink to part of the outer peripheral surface of the can includes: arranging a printing plate formed with a drawing pattern of each color according to a drawing to be printed, on the outer peripheral surface of a printing plate cylinder provided by each color; arranging a printing blanket 31 engraved with a hollowed part pattern 32 corresponding to the hollowed part, on the outer peripheral surface of a blanket wheel; adhering ink of each color to the printing plate; bringing the plurality of printing plates into contact with the printing blanket 31 to transfer ink of each color; transferring the ink to the outer peripheral surface of the can by bringing the printing blanket 31 into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the can; and printing the pattern including the hollowed part to the outer peripheral surface of the can.
