[Problem] To improve: a heat insulation structure for a paper container, said structure exhibiting a heat insulating effect and being easy to mold; and a paper container. [Solution] A heat insulation structure having embossing that comprises a plurality of recesses and protrusions that are formed in the trunk of a paper container and are vertically and horizontally continuous, wherein the embossing is characterized by satisfying criteria such that the maximum stiffness (S1) in the winding direction of the trunk is equal to or less than 14.5mN/m, and the ratio (S1/S2) of the maximum stiffness (S1) and the minimum stiffness (S2) is １≦Ｓ１／Ｓ２≦１．８９. The height of the embossing from the top of the paper container towards the bottom may be progressively reduced. |
