Disclosed is an auto-focusing method of a photographing device. The method comprises the steps of (a) to (c). In the step (a), a first position, where a DC coefficient by a two-dimensional discrete cosine transform (DCT) of input image data, initially increases, is found while a focus lens is moved from the current position of the focus lens. In the step (b), a second position, where a sum result value of AC coefficients by the two-dimensional discrete cosine transform (DCT) of the input image data is maximized, is found while the focus lens is moved from the first position. Also, in the step (c), the second position is applied as a final focus position. |
