PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can correctly align the upper side of a document bundle including a document the set direction of which cannot be determined.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a document set direction receiving unit 71 that receives the settings of the text document set direction for a text document and the settings of the non-text document set direction for a non-text document, which are set on document feeding unit 3, respectively; a document type determination unit 73 that determines whether or not a document is the text document on the basis of document image data; and an image processing unit 8 that performs rotation processing of the document image data. The image processing unit 8 performs the rotation processing, when the document is determined to be the text document by the document type determination unit 73, on the basis of the text document set direction received by the document set direction receiving unit 71, and performs the rotation processing, when the document is determined not to be the text document by the document type determination unit 73, on the basis of the non-text document set direction received by the document set direction receiving unit 71. |
