PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation drive transmission mechanism configured to efficiently transmit torque from a transmission member to a receiving member, and to prevent noise due to a collision between them during torque transmission comparatively easily, a fixing apparatus, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A shaft section 31a of a pressure roller 31 (receiving member) includes a curved surface section 31a0, and a plurality of plane sections 31a1 arranged at regular intervals equally with respect to a rotation center. A hole 45a of a gear 45 (transmission member) includes: a first inner periphery section S1 having an inner diameter D larger than the outer shape d of the curved surface section 31a0; a second inner periphery section S2 formed adjacent to the first inner periphery section S1 so that an inner diameter D' thereof may decrease gradually; and a third inner periphery section S3 formed adjacent to the second inner periphery section S2 and to be brought into contact with the plane sections 31a1.
